RACING INCIDENTS

(Race No.1-8)

 

   Going                                               :  Good

   Penetrometer reading        :  3.3 cms.

   Railings' Position                :  Railings are positioned at 1600 Metres from the Winning Post with an average width of 6 Metres.

 

 

1st Race: 1. The B.R.Hills Plate  (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25. (11 Runners):

 

Trainer Mr Monnappa C D was fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge, ELA HARIKA (V R Jagdeesh); Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.

 

Jockey M Rajesh Kumar, the rider of CELESTAR was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting 'in' and causing interference to SENATOR (Chethan Gowda) on his inside which went onto PREMIER ACE (C A Brisson) as a result the latter brushed the railings approaching 1000 Metres.

 

Jockey M Rajesh Kumar, the rider of CELESTAR was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

 

It was observed during the Race that FELIX LEGION (Ramandeep S Bal) was hanging 'in' throughout the Race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

 

It was observed during the Race that SURPRISE PACKAGE (Arshad Alam) drifted 'out' under pressure, in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

 

It was reported after the Race that SENATOR (Chethan Gowda) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Surender G T was informed that he must produce Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

An enquiry is being held into the manner of riding of Jockey Chethan Gowda, on his mount SENATOR, trained by Mr. G T Surender, in the above Race.

 

Surprise sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b m SURPRISE PACKAGE.

 

2nd Race: 2. The Lt.Col.C.Rudrappa Memorial Plate  - Div.II  (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45. No Whip (10 Runners):

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Tejaswi P C to withdraw AMAZING (J Paswan) on veterinary grounds as it was trotting lame on left hind due to hoof abscess. He was informed that he must produce Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Jockey Chotu Jaiswar, the rider of BIRTHDAY BABE, was reprimanded for not being alert at the Start, thereby shifting awkwardly outwards, thereby inconveniencing horses on its outside, viz., MOONSTRUCK (Arshad Alam), and KING'S COMMAND (V R Jagdeesh), soon after the Start.

  

Jockey S Imran, the rider of SCORPENE, was reprimanded for coming in before passing the Red marker Post, thereby inconveniencing horses on his inside, viz., ASTARA (R Rayan Ahmed) and CHILLY BREEZE (Chethan Gowda).

 

It was reported after the Race that CHILLY BREEZE (Chethan Gowda) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was informed that he must produce Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

SCORPENE (S Imran) sustained small bleeding cut inside right hind hock.

 

3rd Race: 3. The Gadag Plate  (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11  Runners):

 

BESTOW (Sandeep Rajput) was examined at the Gates and was found to be trotting lame on right fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order; Trainer Mr M Bobby was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

SUFFICIENT PROOF (M J Gautam Raj Urs) jumped awkwardly outwards, at the Start.

 

TOUCH OF CLASS (K Sai Kiran) jumped awkwardly inwards, at the Start.

 

Jockey Ramandeep S Bal, the rider of SAN VINTO, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting “out' and causing interference to TOUCH OF CLASS (K Sai Kiran), on his outside, and as such, the latter had to be checked by its rider and fell back, approaching the 400 Metres.

 

Jockey P Surya, the rider of WIND STRIKER, reported that his mount was hanging “in” throughout the Race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. G T Surender was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

 

It was reported after the Race that VENI VIDI VICI (T S Jodha) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. S M Johnson was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

It was reported after the Race that TOUCH OF CLASS (K Sai Kiran) sustained deep clipped injury on left fore medial heel.

 

4th Race: 4. The Sharavathi Plate  - Div.II  (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65. (10 Runners):

 

SPIRITUAL FORCE (C.Umesh) jumped awkwardly inwards, at the Start.

 

Jockey J Paswan, the rider of UNIMAGINABLE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for taking an unduly long lead, between the 1100 Metres and the 400 Metres.

 

Jockey Nazar Alam, the rider of STAR ATRIUM, reported that his mount slowed down, passing the 350 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was reported to have pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

An enquiry is being held into the manner of riding of Jockey Chethan Gowda, on his mount THEA'S GIFT, trained by Surender G T, in the above Race.

 

Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b m LEAP OF FAITH.

 

5th Race: 5. The Lt.Col.C.Rudrappa Memorial Plate  - Div.I   (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45.. No Whip (10 Runners):

 

Jockey M J Gautam Raj Urs, the rider of BREAKING NEWS, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount to improve his position rounding the bend.

 

Jockey S Imran, the rider of SUMMER, was reprimanded for shifting “in” and inconveniencing BREAKING NEWS (M J Gautam Raj Urs), on his inside, passing the 600 Metres.

 

Jockey Shiva Kumar, the rider of SEGERA, reported that his mount was hanging “in” after entering the Straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with again.

 

Surprise sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b m OCEANA.

 

6th Race: 6. The S.M.Attaollahi Memorial Trophy  (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above. (11 Runners):

 

MADURO (Irvan Singh) was examined at the Gates and was found to be trotting lame on right fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order; Trainer Mr Vishal Yadav was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

CYCLONE (C Umesh) accidentally brushed the railings, passing the 1000 Metres.

 

Jockey Shamaz Shareef, the rider of LANCASTER, was fined Rs.2,000/- for losing his left reins, in the last 100 Metres of the Race.

 

Jockey K Sai Kiran, the rider of MINT, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip, on his mount, in the above Race [First Infringement].

 

Jockey Chethan Gowda, the rider of MURCILAGO, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip, on his mount, in the above Race [First Infringement].

 

After the Race, CYCLONE (C Umesh) collapsed due to cardiac arrest and died.

 

It was reported after the Race that COUNTRY'S COURAGE (Arshad Alam) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath was informed that he must produce Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

It was reported after the Race that LANCASTER (Shamaz Shareef) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. M Eshwer was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

7th Race: 7. The Sharavathi Plate  - Div.I   (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65. (10 Runners):

 

CELESTIAL LIGHT (Vipin Kumar) jumped out awkwardly and shifted out, thereby inconveniencing ILLUMINATE (C Umesh), on its outside, at the start.

 

 

Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of DONT TRUST ANYONE, placed second by the Judge, lodged an objection against Jockey C Umesh, the rider of ILLUMINATE, for “well into the straight, the winner, which was travelling kept coming in, took my ground whereby I had to stop riding which cost me a certain Race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

 

8th Race: 8. The Dharwad Plate  (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (9 Runners):

 

CANTABRIA (Arshad Alam), got cast in the Starting Stall and held up the Start of the Race for a considerable amount of time. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Order.

 

Jockey N Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of EXPORT QUALITY, was reprimanded for riding an indifferent Race.

 

Jockey V R Jagdeesh, the rider of SPACE SHIP, reported that his mount was hanging “in” after entering the Straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. Dinesh Pujar was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

 

Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g CLASS ABOVE.

EIGHTH DAY, FRIDAY, 20TH SEPTEMBER, 2019.

 

RACE NO. 56: THE MAHARAJA'S CUP (GRADE III) (ABOUT) 1600 METRES FOR INDIAN HORSES 4 YEARS OLD AND OVER:

 

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey A Imran Khan to the Stewards vide Charge Sheet No. 246, dated 22nd October, 2019 for “Careless Riding” [Rule No. 161 (i)], on his mount MY OPINION, in the above Race, in that, as a rider of MY OPINION, a) Despite his mount shifting out onto the centre of the Race Track, he has continued to whip his mount on the right and shifted out further; b) Thereafter, at about 125 Metres, instead of gathering and correcting his mount, he has whipped his mount again, resulting in his mount cutting across the path of STAR BARON (R N Darshan) and PSYCHIC FORCE (S Zervan), on his outside and he has shifted further out, in the last 50 Metres or so and came in contact with SHESMYSCRIPT (P Trevor), resulting in the latter horse going down, dislodging the rider, in the above Race. The Stewards held an enquiry, after the last Race on Wednesday, 13th November, 2019 and examined Jockey A Imran Khan. After due deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey's license granted to Jockey A Imran Khan from 20-11-2019 to 27-11-2019 (both days inclusive) for “Careless Riding” [Rule No. 161 (i)] on his mount MY OPINION, in the above Race. He was informed that he is permitted to ride work and was also informed of his right to appeal.

TENTH DAY, FRIDAY, 27TH SEPTEMBER, 2019.

 

RACE NO. 72: THE ESQUIRE PLATE - DIV. I (ABOUT) 1400 METRES FOR HORSES RATED 20 TO 45. NO WHIP:

 

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Md. Akram to the Stewards vide Charge Sheet No. 242, dated 30th September, 2019, for “Incompetent Riding” [Rule No. 161 (ii)], on his mount HELENKA, in the above Race, in that, as a rider of HELENKA, a) Even after finding himself in front, he has not urged his mount and gone to the front, despite his Trainer's instruction to go to the front and maintain a 1 length lead; b) From about the 900 Metres till the 500 Metres, he has not made any effort to improve his position, but kept dropping his position, eventually entering the straight in 6th position; c) His effort on his mount HELENKA was very feeble and despite such efforts or the lack of it, his mount has finished a close 4th, in the above Race. The Stewards held an enquiry, after the last Race on Wednesday, 13th November, 2019 and examined Jockey Md. Akram and the trainer of the horse, Mr. Kishan Thomas. After due deliberations, and after repeatedly watching the CCTV replay of the above Race, they decided to suspend the Jockey's license granted to Jockey Md. Akram from 27-11-2019 to 04-12-2019 (both days inclusive) for “Incompetent Riding” [Rule No. 161 (ii)] on his mount HELENKA, in the above Race. He was informed that he is permitted to ride work and was also informed of his right to appeal.

THIRTEENTH DAY, THURSDAY, 10th OCTOBER, 2019

 

RACE NO. 93: THE J.TYRRELL MEMORIAL PLATE - DIV.I - (ABOUT) 1400 METRES FOR HORSES RATED 20 TO 45:                     

 

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey M Prabhakaran to the Stewards vide Charge Sheet No. 247, dated 22nd October, 2019, for “Injudicious Riding” [Rule No. 161 (ii)], on his mount RAJVEER, in the above Race, In that, as a rider of RAJVEER, a) He had taken unduly long lead and he even failed to glance back to see how far he was ahead so that he could ride in check; b) He was niggling his mount and tapped it rounding the bend when he was already in front; c) As he  entered the straight, the horse fizzled out in the straight; d) He has not ridden a fancied runner in a judicious manner. The Stewards held an enquiry, after the last Race on Wednesday, 13th November, 2019 and examined Jockey M Prabhakaran and the trainer of the horse, Mr. M Bobby. After due deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey's license granted to Jockey M Prabhakaran from 27-11-2019 to 18-12-2019 (both days inclusive) for “Injudicious Riding” [Rule No. 161 (ii)] on his mount RAJVEER, in the above Race. He was informed that he is permitted to ride work and was also informed of his right to appeal.

RACE NO. 93: THE J.TYRRELL MEMORIAL PLATE - DIV.I - (ABOUT) 1400 METRES FOR HORSES RATED 20 TO 45:

 

The Stipendiary Steward reported Trainer Mr. M Bobby to the Stewards, vide Charge Sheet No. 248, dated 22nd October, 2019, for breach of Rule No. 114 (b)(i) of the My.R.C. Ltd., Rules of Racing [negligence in the discharge of his duties as a licensed Trainer], In that, as the Trainer of RAJVEER, he has failed to inform the Stipendiary Stewards in advance that he had changed the pattern of running of his charge RAJVEER, in the above Race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last Race on Wednesday, 13th November, 2019, and examined Trainer Mr. M Bobby. After due enquiry, they decided to caution him as to his negligence and also informed him to be careful while changing riding instructions of his charges between runs in future and that a repetition of such negligence will be dealt with appropriately, in future.
